Clarence Melvin "Clancy" Smyres (born May 24, 1922 in Culver City, California- died November 27, 2007 in Lancaster, California) is a former Major League Baseball player. He appeared in five games for the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 1944 Major League Baseball season, recording two at bats but no hits. He never played defense for the Dodgers, but was on the roster as a shortstop.
He was one of the most difficult baseball players to obtain an autograph from after 1944, he did not reply to mail or do personal signings.
Clancy was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Los Angeles, California.
